research interests

My research interests recently can be summarized as follow:

§  Developing novel methods for determination of trace and ultra-trace levels of elements in various matrices.

§  Studying the chemical speciation for different analytes in aqueous media.

§  The applications of AAS, ICP-AES and ICP-MS in chemical analysis.

§  Determination of Organic and inorganic pollutants in aqueous, food and biological samples.

§  Attempt to develop new methods for biologically active components in biological fluids.

§  The applications of chemometrics in analytical chemistry.

 

However, in the past five years, the following research projects has been completed:

§  Determination of pesticides in vegetables and fruits from local market in Jeddah - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

§  A Case Study on the Analysis and Separation of Some Essential and Toxic Trace Metal Ions Present in Selected Fertilizers in Jeddah Market, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

§  Spectroelectrochemical Studies on Some Redox Systems of Some Organic and Inorganic Color Pigments.

§  Retention Profile, Chromatographic Separation and Chemical Speciation of Gold (I & III) Ions from Liquid Waste.

§  Novel Preconcentration and Voltammetric Methods for the Determination of Titanium and Lead Ions in Some Selected Food Stuff and Wastewater Samples.

§  Environmental Studies on Developing Novel Methods for the Determination of Some Drug Residues in Pharmaceutical Formulations and Industrial Wastewater Using Cathodic Adsorptive Voltammetry.

§  Novel Preconcentration and Determination Methods of Uranium Ions in Some Selected Fertilizers and water Samples.
